Four floors up, the rooftop terrace stretches across the top of The Dainite Building. Mature trees, deep planted beds and built-in seating give it the feel of a garden rather than a balcony.

From here, Market Harborough opens out below you: rooftops, the church spire and, beyond the edge of town, the Leicestershire countryside.

The Location

Market Harborough is a Leicestershire market town on the River Welland, steeped in history and surrounded by villages recorded in the Domesday Book. The town centre is a few minutes’ walk: independent shops, cafes and restaurants, regular markets selling fresh produce and antiques, Welland Park with its gardens and cafe, and the Harborough Museum in the Symington Building. Foxton Locks, the famous staircase of ten locks on the Grand Union Canal, is a short drive away, and Warner’s Distillery runs tours and tastings nearby.

Located a short walk from Market Harborough station on the Midland Main Line, Millstone Court is fifty minutes from London St Pancras, fifteen minutes from Leicester and thirty five minutes from Nottingham. The M1 is twenty minutes by car and the M6 twenty five.
